Last Day to Sign Out of Summer Reading
Summer Reading Sign-Out Date Extended!
This summer has been...different. So we want to make it even easier to reap the rewards of our 2020 Summer Reading Program, Imagine Your Story.
We've extended the last day to sign out of the summer reading program to August 15th! This will be the last day to sign out, select your prize books, and record reading and activities for raffle entries. It is also the last day to submit art for our Virtual Community Art Quilt. If you have been doing the program and tracking on paper, you'll need to create an account on our Beanstack Reading Tracker. Here are instructions. If needed, call 831-427-7713 and staff will enter your summer reading information so you can receive your rewards and raffle entries.
This also means that you can still sign up for the program and track the reading you've done all summer long to receive a free book and chances to win prizes with your raffle entries!
Kids & teens up to age 18 earn an Atlantis Fantasyworld certificate good for one item from a special selection of books. Once you have registered with Beanstack you will receive instructions on redeeming your Atlantis Certificate. Redemption of Atlantis certificates has been extended through 6:00 pm Labor Day, Monday September 7th.
How to Select Your NEW Book:
Kids 0-11 who have read (or been read to) 5 hours or more can select a free book prize by filling out this Google Form. The link is also available in Beanstack once the reward is earned.

Participants may also call TelInfo or email SummerReading@santacruzpl.org to have staff log their reading and give prize preferences or ask questions.
Participants 12 and over will earn a Friends of the Library coupon. This will automatically be sent to patrons signed up in Beanstack (within a few days of earning the prize). If a patron would like to receive a physical coupon, they can call TelInfo or email SummerReading@santacruzpl.org to let us know how they want it delivered.
- Read 10, 15, and 20 hours: all ages earn a raffle ticket for a chance to win a prize from our drawing.
- Complete 5 activities: all ages earn a raffle ticket for a chance to win a prize from our drawing.
- Complete 10 activities: all ages earn a raffle ticket for a chance to win a prize from our drawing.
- Raffle prize winners will be notified at the beginning of August by email or phone.
