All library branches will be closed to the public and our online catalog & resources will be offline and unavailable.

- When will the Library be closed? Monday March 27th, 2023

Why will the library be closed? We are upgrading our library management system (the database that organizes and
manages all of our books, movies, e-books, etc.) and moving to a more secure and better functioning
system.

Why do the branches need to be closed for a technology upgrade?
This upgrade requires all hands on deck. Our IT team will be migrating millions of pieces of library content to the new system and our library staff will be getting up to speed on using our new system.

Can I still access online resources and content? Our catalogue will be offline, so you
won't be able to browse our collection, place holds, or check out audiobooks or ebooks starting 10pm on March 26th.
- Can I still use audiobooks, movies, or ebooks that I have already checked out and downloaded? Yes, you will still be able to access any content you have downloaded to your personal devices.
- Will the app work during the closure? The app is connected to our catalog, so will be offline during the closure.
- Will the book drop be open during the closure? Yes, the book drop will be open.
- What will happen with books on the holds shelf? All books on the holds shelf, will be available when we re-open on Tuesday. Holds near their expiration date will be held an extra day (if needed).
- Will the Telephone Information Line be staff on March 27th? Yes, you will be able to reach library staff 10am - 5pm at 831-427-7712.
