It’s easier than ever to get your books and other library materials with Grab & Go lobby service. Instead of waiting out in the cold this fall, make your requests online, visit your pickup branch when it's there for you, Grab your things from the lobby and check them out yourself, and you’re ready to Go.
You’ll need your library card number and PIN/password to check out your items with our self-checkout machines, which will be sanitized regularly. You can also download our mobile app from Google Play or the Apple App Store and check out your things with your phone! Just search for “Santa Cruz Public Libraries” in the app stores.
The change to Grab & Go will start first at the Felton Branch starting November 3rd, then Grab & Go will replace Curbside Service at Aptos, Downtown, and Live Oak on November 9th. Scotts Valley will begin Grab & Go on the 16th when construction is complete but you may pick up your items at the Felton branch until Scotts Valley reopens. Also, starting on November 14th, expanded evening hours will begin, giving commuters a chance to pick up their books and library materials.
We’re also expanding services in our buildings to offer computers and internet access. The Aptos, Downtown, Felton, and Scotts Valley branches will offer computer access starting November 14th. A limited number of computers will be available for 45 minute sessions that you can sign up for on a first-come, first served basis.
All in-person services require you to wear a mask or face covering and to maintain a physical distance of 6 feet from others. Please do not visit the library if you are ill, have a cough, or have any symptoms of Covid-19.
