The renovation of the La Selva Beach Branch Library is one of five library projects approved by Measure S for the unincorporated area. Design and construction of these projects will be managed by the County of Santa Cruz in collaboration with Santa Cruz Public Libraries and the community.

At the January 24, 2017 regular scheduled meeting, the Santa Cruz County Board of Supervisors received a report allocating $500,000 for the upgrades.
