Kids

"What guides us is children's response, their joy in learning to dance, to sing, to live together."
-Yehudi Menuhin

Read to Me

Menuhin was not writing about children's services in public libraries, but he could have been. He could have been writing about children's response and joy in getting ready to read and that is what guides us in delivering READ TO ME services to very young children and their families.

Recognizing the importance of the public library contribution to literacy development in young children 0-5, the Santa Cruz Public Libraries (SCPL) promotes reading readiness with services and programs under the umbrella name, READ TO ME (RTM). For more information, browse the links below or contact your local branch.
