Description: By providing Veterans with transitional housing and case management programs, they will once again become employable, productive members of the community. VTC does not simply offer short term solutions to homelessness; it strives to better the lives of homeless Veterans, and aims to give them the tools they need to help themselves.
Mission: The mission of the Veterans Transition Center is to provide services for Monterey County's homeless Veterans and their families.
Programs: The Coming Home Program -- The Coming Home Program is a Transitional Housing Program that Veterans may utilize for up to two years. Through our Transitional Housing program, Veterans are able to access case management services, life skills workshops, and substance abuse counseling in a clean and sober environment.

Rental and Deposit Assistance (SSVF) -- The Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) Program assists very low-income Veterans who are homeless or at imminent risk of becoming homeless. Services may include: Deposit Assistance, Rental Assistance, Veteran Outreach, Transportation Assistance, Case Management Services, Assistance Obtaining VA & Other Benefits.

Job Development Center -- Increasing skills and helping Veterans become employment-ready is crucial to become active members of the community. Our new expansion will assist 100 Veteran per year, provide training areas, classes, skills assessments, and other tools that will help a Veteran succeed. Through our VET+PREP! program, VTC currently offers assistance with job placement, quarterly job fairs, job skills training, and skills assessment.
