Community and university-based art galleries and other art centers that provide or subsidize facilities for the display and/or sale of paintings and other art for the primary purpose of the cultural enrichment of the community, or which arrange special exhibits or shows which feature a particular artist, art form, artistic period or style. Unlike art museums, art galleries and other art centers do not generally own the works they display.
