Description: Second Harvest Food Bank has a network of 200 member agencies and direct service programs providing groceries, fresh produce, and prepared meals throughout Santa Cruz County. Call the Community Food Hotline at (831) 662-0991 for the most up-to-date information about the dates and times of food distributions and bilingual nutrition education programs in your neighborhood. The Hotline also offers pre-screening and application assistance for the CalFresh program and information and referrals to other services.
Mission: Second Harvest Food Bank's mission is that we inspire and support Santa Cruz County to provide nourishment for all community members.
Programs: Second Harvest staff is a leader in food distribution, volunteer-supported peer nutrition programs to empower clients to make healthy choices, outreach programs to educate and mobilize the public around community hunger and nutrition issues, and food security projects to improve access to healthy foods in Santa Cruz County.
