Description: Services are offered to the victims of violent crimes and other eligible family members. These crimes include sexual assault, elder abuse, physical and sexual child abuse, domestic violence, murder, attempted murder, assault, robbery, homicide, hit-and-run accidents with injury, and driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage or drugs that causes injury or death.

ELIGIBILITY: Anyone wishing information on violent crime victims' rights and resources is welcomed, especially domestic violence, sexual assault, child molestation, assault with injury, and drunk driving with injury/death.

Mission: The mission of the Victim/Witness Program is to inform, assist, and support victims of violent crime in their interactions with the criminal justice system, and to protect their rights in a manner no less vigorous than the protection afforded to criminal defendants.

Victims will be treated with dignity and respect to reduce the trauma and insensitive treatment that can be experienced in the aftermath of a crime. We will also work to improve the system's understanding of the needs of crime victims and their families.
