Description: The Louden Nelson Community Center is a hub for recreational, cultural and social services for the Santa Cruz community. It is home to the Santa Cruz Teen Center, Downtown Seniors, The Senior Computer Center of Santa Cruz, Carnation Cafe Senior lunch program and County Office of Education Alternative High School as well as City of Santa Cruz Parks & Recreation classes. The Center has a wide selection of classrooms for rent including dance rooms, multi-use room with kitchen and large auditorium. Each evening there are a variety of offerings from dance and exercise to board meetings and 12 step groups.

Free parking permits are available to Community Center patrons during Center operating hours and when attending activities at Louden Nelson. Please inquire at the front desk.
Mission: The Center's mission is to seek a balance between social, recreational and cultural services to the diverse communities of Santa Cruz. We strive to create a safe and welcoming environment accessible to all.
Facilities: The Louden Nelson Community Center offers a wide selection of spaces available for rent. Whether you prefer a dance studio for your movement class, a meeting room for your organization or a large room for your banquet or special event, we provide flexible options to suite your needs. All rental spaces are wheelchair accessible. Wireless internet access provided by Cruzio.
