| Description: | GES 55+ Social Club was actually started in Santa Cruz more than 30 years ago as Green Earth Singles. Over time the focus of the group has expanded from outdoors activities to all kinds. Moreover, couples are now active members too. It's become the norm to abbreviate the group's name to "GES". |
| Programs: | Typical events include: hikes, bike trips, brunches, potlucks, BBQs, beach bonfires, classical music nights, dining out, theatre and movies and house parties. Every host reserves the right to restrict attendance by whatever criteria they may elect. Guests attend understanding that each and every participant is responsible for his/her own conduct and safety. The activities are provided on the express condition that neither Green Earth Singles, Inc. nor its officers, directors, nor any host/leader of any activities, nor any subscribing guests or non-subscribing guests, nor any carpool drivers shall have any liability whatsoever, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, to any person attending such an activity for any injury, death, or property damage arising out of or resulting from such activity. Each person attending such an activity shall be deemed to have agreed to the foregoing conditions, and thereby waives any claim, which such person might otherwise have against any such parties for injury, death, or property damage. |
