Description: CFPD is a special fire protection agency provides fire and life safety protection for Soquel, Live Oak, and Capitola area residents. There are four fire stations within the Central Fire Protection District:
930 17th Avenue, Santa Cruz.
3445 Thurber Lane, Santa Cruz.
4747 Soquel Drive, Soquel.
405 Capitola Avenue, Capitola .

Each station conducts fire prevention and safety inspections, CPR and life support classes, weed abatement programs, guided tours, etc. Fire suppression personnel are trained Emergency Medical Technicians/Defibrilation.
Mission: Central Fire Protection District is committed to saving lives and minimizing loss through prevention efforts; community education; the hiring, retention, and ongoing training of highly qualified safety personnel; and ensuring availability of the tools and equipment necessary to provide emergency services.

The District is committed to taking a strategic, forward thinking approach to emergency services, and maximizing the limitations of the annual budget to provide the best possible service to the community.
