| Description: | SWISH is a recreational basketball league for girls and young women in Santa Cruz County, California. The league operates from mid March through early June. We have been in existence since 1997, and serve 200 girls each year. SWISH is a 503(c) non-profit organization run by volunteers. ELIGIBILITY: All girls, 3rd-12th grade and young women interested in learning the skills of basketball are welcome. Financial aid is available. |
| Mission: | To create an organized basketball league for girls, led by women, and played in an environment where learning the strategy and skills of basketball are emphasized in balance with competition and sportsmanship. |
| Volunteer Info: | SWISH is an all-volunteer run organization. SWISH is always looking for talented women coaches who can promote the values of the league and coach in accordance with the SWISH philosophy. |
