Closed-captioned Videos and DVDs

Closed-captioned videos and DVDs transcribe the dialog on the screen. These items may be borrowed from the Library by any person with a Santa Cruz Public Library card. More than 6,000 closed-caption videos and DVDs are available, including more than 800 videos and DVDs for children.

To see a list in the Library's Catalog:

  • Connect to the online catalog and type in the search box films for the hearing impaired or closed caption videos. On the search results page there will be options on the left hand side to refine your results.

To limit your search to a specific author, title, or subject:

  • Connect to the online catalog and type in the search box films for the hearing impaired or closed caption videos and include either the author or performer, title or subject. On the search results page there will be options on the left hand side to refine your results.
