  Library Services - Borrowing and Renewing Library Items

Check Out Period

With your library card you may borrow most library materials for two weeks.

Where to Return Items

All items may be returned to any branch in the Library System.

What Can Be Renewed

Most materials, including videos, can be renewed. Items which others have requested, holiday materials, interlibrary loans, and items in certain subjects cannot be renewed.

How Many Times an Item can be Renewed

Most materials can be renewed four times, each time for two additional weeks.

How to Renew Items

There are several ways to renew a library item:

  1. In person, at any of our branch libraries. You need to bring your library card with you.
  2. By phone, using the automated telephone renewal system called teleservice. The number for teleservice is (420-5775).
  3. Online, by accessing your library account. Put a checkmark in the box(es) beside the item(s) that you want to renew and click on the Renew Items button.
