SCPL Book Discussion Groups for Adults

Branciforte

• Branciforte Library Book Club
  Branciforte Library Book Club meets every third Wednesday of the month from 1:00 - 2:00pm. Book selections are from the Library's Book Club kits.
  Meets: Every third Wednesday from 1:00 - 2:00pm

Downtown

• Downtown Book Discussion Group
  The Downtown Library Book Discussion Group meets monthly. Copies of each month's book are available at the library. For more information contact Sarah Harbison at 831-427-7700 x 7616.
  Meets: Third Thursday of every month from 1:00 - 2:00

Felton

• Reading in the Redwoods
  The Reading in the Redwoods book group meets monthly, reading contemporary books chosen by the members. Copies of each month's book are available at the Felton branch library. To be added to our book group email list please call 831-420-1345. There will be no meeting in December.
  Meets: Fourth Wednesday of every month from 6:15-7:30 pm. The branch is closed after 6 pm but the front door will be open.

La Selva Beach

• LSB Book Discussion Group
  The LSB Book Discussion Group meets monthly to discuss contemporary fiction, making selections based on the preferences of individuals in the book group. The LSB Book Discussion Group meets at the La Selva Beach Branch Library. Join us by dropping by, or call (831) 427-7710 for more information.

• Passionate Readers Book Discussion Group

• Bookshop Santa Cruz - Community Book Group
  A monthly Book Group, open to everyone in the community and centered around works by local authors. See the "Events" section of the Bookshop Santa Cruz website for details on this month's selection.
• Bookshop Santa Cruz - Young Adult Literature
  Are you a parent or grandparent who is curious about why the teen in your life is drawn to reading one title over another? Do you want to understand more about what’s so interesting in the book your child won’t stop talking about? Are you yourself a fan and reader of young adult literature? Then we invite you to take part in our monthly reading group dedicated to young adult literature (literature broadly aimed at readers who are 12 and older). This group will be facilitated by Nancy Litvak (newly retired librarian from Harbor High School) and meet on the second Wednesday of every month at Bookshop Santa Cruz. • Scandinavian Cultural Center Book Club: Exploring Our Roots Through Literature
