Live Oak Annex Update 8.23


We are excited to share the latest progress on the Live Oak Simpkins Annex project as we move closer to its completion.

Project Updates:

  • Completion of Large Project Components: We're delighted to share that much of the large project components are either near or have reached completion. The construction team has successfully executed critical elements of the annex and we have made substantial progress towards creating a modern and accommodating environment for all our patrons.
  • Public Art and Landscaping Update: As part of our commitment to enhancing the overall experience at Live Oak Library Annex, we are eagerly preparing for the installation of captivating public art on the patio area. This artistic addition will provide an inspiring backdrop for the annex and contribute to the cultural enrichment of the space. We are also working diligently to finalize the surrounding landscaping, which will complement the design and create a welcoming outdoor area for visitors.

Late Fall Opening Projection:

We are tentatively targeting a late fall/early winter opening date. We appreciate your continued support and understanding as we navigate any unforeseen challenges that may arise.
