Be an Informed Voter

Voting isn't just a right, it is an important civic responsibility. We've gathered a few online resources to help you make the informed decisions about the candidates and propositions on the upcoming June 5th Primary Election Ballot.

Voter’s Edge California: http://votersedge.org
This is a comprehensive, nonpartisan online guide to elections from the League of Women's Voters. It covers federal, state, and local races in the state of California. Access your full, personalized ballot by entering your address and get in-depth information on candidates, measures, and who supports them. You can also check where, when, and how to vote, including information on their local polling locations. Try searching for your ballot below:

Easy Voter Guide: http://www.easyvoterguide.org
Another project of the League of Women Voters, the Easy voter Guide is available in English, Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean. It describes the offices and the propositions in easy to understand language.

Official Voter Information Guide: http://voterguide.sos.ca.gov
The Official Voter Guide is produced by the California Secretary of State. It includes impartial analysis, arguments in favor and against numerous ballot measures, declarations of the candidates, the Voter Bill of Rights and other important information.

Santa Cruz County Elections Office: http://www.votescount.com
Official website of our local County Office of Elections. It has comprehensive information about voting, assistance for voters with special needs, language assistance, and more.

The last day to register to vote for the June 5th Primary Election is May 21, 2018.
If you miss that deadline, you can still register and vote on the same day up until June 5th by visiting the County Elections Office in person, located at County Government Center, 701 Ocean Street, Rm. 310, Santa Cruz, CA 95060. Office Hours: Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm
