Death of Eli Webb

Eli Webb, a former citizen of Capitola and Soquel, died at his home in San Francisco, Thursday, May 22. His remains were brought to Soquel for burial on memorial Sunday. Friends met the body at the trains and from there went to the cemetery, escorted by eight boys acting as naval reserves. Mr. Webb was an honored and respected citizen. He was a member of Wallace Reynolds post, but joined the Lincoln post in San Francisco. Rev. Lee of the Soquel Methodist church officiated at the grave, and the naval reserves fired a salute over the grave. Mr. Webb leaves a wife, son and daughter.
