Details
Description: Public hearings on certain alterations to historic buildings proposed in the City of Santa Cruz. City Council Advisory Body-Seven members are appointed by the City Council. Members should have degrees or experience in architecture, history, archaeology, or planning.
Mission: The Historic Preservation Commission:

Drafts and recommends measures to implement the historic preservation plan, including an historic building plan and historic preservation ordinance, to the City Council;

Performs such other administrative and advisory functions as may from time to time be delegated to the Commission by ordinance or resolution.
Meetings: Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in City Council Chambers, 809 Center Street, Santa Cruz.
