Description: Founded by pioneer women in 1888. Promotes the history of the state of California, venerates the California pioneers, promotes child welfare programs, assists in marking and restoration of historic landmarks and civic participation. Meetings are ritualistic and therefore closed to non-members, guests welcome at the potlucks. Fundraising proceeds go towards various causes, including the Children's Foundation and Veteran's hospitals and scholarships for graduating local high school seniors, etc.
