Description: The SCJF features high school and college big bands, jazz combos and jazz choirs from the western United States and beyond. Both day and evening performances take place on 6 stages with evening concerts presented by special guest artists. All performances and activities are open to the public for a low all access fee. The SCJF is held during March every year with all proceeds going to support jazz education in Santa Cruz County. Donations are accepted and will be used for scholarships targeted for Santa Cruz County student musicians.
Mission: To encourage the understanding and enjoyment of jazz in the United States, and to sponsor the study of jazz, a true American art form.

To sponsor and conduct festivals, expositions, concerts, educational conferences and workshops to further public enjoyment, appreciation, and understanding of jazz.
