Description: Easter Seals provides exceptional services, education, outreach, and advocacy so that people living with autism and other disabilities can live, learn, work and play in our communities.

ELIGIBILITY: Qualifying disabilities based upon individual program requirements.

AREAS SERVED: Santa Cruz, San Benito, Monterey Counties; seven counties in Central Valley.
Programs: Adult Services:

Camp Harmon is a residential camp for children and adults with disabilities, ages 8-65. See related agencies below for full listing.

Parent and Community trainings offer a wide range of customized educational programs for parents, educators, childcare providers and community agencies to promote positive behavior management and fully inclusive environments for individuals with disabilities.

Support Groups allow parents to receive emotional and practical support from other parents who share the particular joys and challenges of parenting a child with special needs. Easter Seals provides administrative guidance to several support groups for parents of loved ones with disabilities.

Wide Awakes: This program offers regular monthly social and recreational experiences for adults with physical and developmental disabilities.

Autism (ASD) Services:
Comprehensive, evidence-based evaluation and treatment for individuals from birth through young adulthood diagnosed on the autism spectrum. Innovative therapies, training, support, and education services to create life-changing solutions for those with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families.

Educational Services:
The Educational Services program provides services that supplement those normally offered by public schools. These services include: one-to-one assistance, sign language interpretation, adapted physical education, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, behavior intervention and home teaching.

Kids on The Block: is a puppet presentation for elementary school children which educates and promotes tolerance and inclusion of children with disabilities in educational settings and the community at large.
