Description: To help reduce veteran homelessness and assist extremely low income veterans. Our goal is to obtain sustainable, permanent housing for our veterans and their families.

ELIGIBILITY: We serve veterans from all eras
Programs: At this time the Santa Cruz office offers the SSVF Program (Supportive Services for Veterans and their Families). The focus of SSVF is housing stability. Contact: 831-295-8166 ssvf@santacruzhsc.org As part of the housing first model the focus is on supportive services that assist placing homeless veterans in permanent housing, and providing low-income at-risk veterans temporary financial assistance to prevent homelessness. Staff is active in the community and participates with the Homeless Coalition of Monterey and San Benito Counties, as well as collaborating with the Veterans Administration and other veteran organizations that have a direct connection to veteran service. Santa Cruz VRC will be assisting with the bi-annual Stand-Down scheduled for August, as well as job-fairs and other events.
