Details
Description: The Watsonville Law Center (WLC) provides free legal services to low-income individuals on California’s Central Coast. We believe that everyone benefits when the most vulnerable among us thrive, and that a holistic collaborative approach is most effective. We focus on legal problems with long-term impacts and solutions, such as workers’ rights, consumer rights, and access to employment.
Programs: WLC has three main programs:
• Access to employment: WLC helps remove barriers to employment by helping improve criminal records, sealing juvenile records and improving credit.
• Family Financial Stability program empowers individuals with financial literacy, education, and legal services to help clients plan for a more stable future.
• CalWORKs: In partnership with Monterey and Santa Cruz counties, WLC offers special services to CalWORKs participants, including legal advice
Volunteer Info: Volunteers are critical members of the WLC team. We depend on our volunteer attorneys, interviewers and translators to support our legal clinics. We also have volunteer opportunities in other important administrative, fund development and outreach activities.

If you are interested in volunteering, please call our office at (831) 722-2845.
