Mutual support groups whose members are individuals who abuse drugs including prescription and over-the-counter medication. The groups provide emotional support, information and resources to help participants overcome their dependency, and may include Christian-oriented and secular 12-step groups as well as non-12 step groups, and groups for anesthetists, pharmacists, psychologists, physicians or other health care professionals who are recovering from drug dependency.
