Multidisciplinary programs, often offered on an inpatient basis with postdischarge outpatient therapy, that provide comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for individuals who have anorexia nervosa, bulimarexia, bulimia or a related eating disorder. Treatment is individualized and involves a combination of techniques including individual psychotherapy, mutual support groups, medication, nutritional counseling, behavior modification and group or family therapy.
