Subject Description

Pet Health Insurance

Organizations that issue pet health policies that are similar to human health insurance policies with annual premiums, deductibles, and different coverage plans based on what the owner chooses. Plans are based on species, age, pre-existing conditions and in some cases, the lifestyle of the pet, e.g., indoor versus outdoor cats. Some packages are comprehensive, including such things as annual checkups and vaccinations, routine care, preventive medications (e.g., heartworm medications) and spay/neuter surgeries. Other plans cover only accidents and illness.
