Today CAPE's dog rescue program, based in Santa Cruz, California, works closely with local animal shelters to save animals who are older or have special needs.

CAPE's animal sanctuary situated in the Sierra Foothills in Grass Valley, California, is a haven for animals with no other options of a safe place to go. Specializing in animals with disabilities, injuries or treatable medical conditions, the sanctuary can provide safety, comfort and rehabilitation to a variety of species.
