Join us at the Boulder Creek Library amphitheater for a rousing performance of Two Gentlemen from Verona! This amazing group of UCSC students perform the play in just one hour and answer questions from the audience. Bring water, a pillow or blanket to sit on and wear a hat. Location: Felton Branch
The Felton Library Festival will feature a temporary art installation of Fantastic Figures on the new library site made by local artists. The event will include art activities for families, food, information on the library project, and raffle drawing. Music will be by Ben Lonesome and the Highway 9er’s, Dave McClelland and Friends, Patti Maxine, and Young People’s Theater singers. The Festival and art installation are intended to celebrate our future Library and outdoor area. View site plans (construction slated to begin in 2018) and share ways for community members to become involved. Funds raised will go to Felton Library Friends, a chapter of Friends of the Santa Cruz Public Libraries, and will be used to enhance both the new library and the outdoor spaces. Raffle sales will begin mid-April, and the drawings will be at the Felton Library Festival on May 20.

A new book discussion group has formed at the Scotts Valley Library, The Genre Book Club. A different genre will be discussed at each meeting.. The group meets from 7:00pm-8:30pm in the Fireside Meeting Room on the last Thursday of each month. The Scotts Valley Friends of the Library are sponsoring this group. Note: Epistolary - books written in the form of letters - is the theme for May.

All proceeds are used to support your libraries, and help pay for programs and materials. The Friend's of the Library Book Sale offers thousands of gently used books, movies, audiobooks, and more at fantastic prices. Most books are $1-$3. All proceeds are used to support your libraries, and help pay for programs and materials. Books are $5 per bag 2-4pm.
