Provides access to more than 2,400 searchable databases containing over 110 million names. Some of the most popular include: The American Genealogist, Massachusetts Vital Records, 1841-1910, The New England Historical and Genealogical Register, and Massachusetts Vital Records to 1850. Purchased through funds donated by the Genealogical Society of Santa Cruz County. This database is available ONLY at the Downtown Branch Library.

- Santa Cruz County GenWeb
Local entry point to the US GenWeb Project. Consists of volunteer operated Internet websites for genealogical research in every county and every state of the United States. The non-commercial Project is committed to free access. The network is centered at the county level. State Websites also provide very important information, including such resources as queries, family reunion bulletin boards, state histories, and maps showing the changing county boundaries, among others. Many states also have ongoing projects as diverse as the transcription of Civil War regiments or the reuniting of families with lost photos, bibles, etc. All of the counties provide links for you to post queries, access the state's home page and access the archives.
