Closed-captioned Videos
Close-captioned videos transcribe the dialog on the screen.
Closed-captioned videos may be borrowed from the Library by any
person with a Santa Cruz Public Library card. More than 2,000
closed-caption videos are available, including more than 330
videos for children.
To see a list in the Library's Catalog:
- Connect to the online catalog and select option number 1 from
the main menu, which says: Santa Cruz Libraries'
Holdings--Author, Title, Subject Search.
- For videos for adults, type s=video recordings for the
hearing impaired
- For videos for children, type s=video recordings for the
hearing impaired -- juvenile films
To limit your search to a specific author, title, or
subject:
Connect to the online catalog and select option number 2 from
the main menu, which says: Santa Cruz Libraries'
Holdings--Keyword Search.
for a specific author or performer
- type fi closed-captioned and au=author ("author" is
the person's last name)
- to see the results of the search, type di all
for a specific title
- type fi closed-captioned and ti=title ("title" is a
few words of the title)
- to see the results of the search, type di all
for a specific subject
- type fi closed-captioned and su=subject ("subject"
is the subject that you want to find)
- to see the results of the search, type di all
