on the federal list of endangered species or are listed as
"of concern." This list was verifed with the regional
office of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Department. Each plant or
animal is listed by its common name, followed by its scientific
name and a letter indicating its status on the federal list.
(Following the list is a key to the
status symbols.)
Whenever possible, there is a link to more information about
the species. Some of these links point to information on our
website. Others point to the sources listed at the end of the document.
