Brief instructions:
On American Factfinder, select "Data Sets" from the menu on the left, then select "Census 2000 Summary File 1." "Quick tables" goes down to tract level. "Detailed tables" goes down to block level.

If you want to retrieve data for specfic areas of the county by using tracts or blocks, you need to know tract and block numbers first. For information on how to do that, go to Tracts and Blocks: Data and Maps
"Profile of General Demographic Characteristics" is a series of extracts of 100% data for incorporated and unincorporated places in Santa Cruz County and the county as a whole. Includes, sex, age, race, Hispanic or Latino and race, relationship, household by type, housing occupancy, and house tenure. The documents listed below are pdf files and may be viewed with the free Acrobat reader.
