An ISBN (International Standard Book Number) is a number which uniquely identifies a book. The number consists of ten digits, divided into four groups:
The agency that adminsters the ISBN system is the International ISBN Agency. See its Website for more information about the structure and use of ISBNs.
To obtain an ISBN, you need to contact the national or regional agency in your country. Agencies are listed by country on the International ISBN Agency Website at National ISBN Agencies.
