According to the web site of the non-profit foundation 'digitaal Den Haag':
At the U.N. Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED, Rio de Janeiro, june 1992) worldleaders agreed upon 'Agenda 21', an agenda for the 21st century aiming at sustainable development worldwide. At the 'Earth Summit+5' (New York, june 1997) implementation was reviewed. There will be another reviewing summit in 2003.

Action Santa Cruz County produced a local version of Agenda 21 in 1997. The title is Santa Cruz County: Local Agenda 21. The Library purchased a copy for the Central Branch, Reference.
