In the Telnet (non-graphical) Online Catalog:

1. Connect to the telnet version of the Catalog
2. Select the first option, "Santa Cruz Public Libraries' Holdings--Author, Title, Subject Search."
3. At the flashing cursor, type, "c=local author".
4. Then press the enter/return key.

You will get a list of local authors arranged by last names, beginning with "A." To display the list starting with a particular letter, type "c=local author" followed by a space and the letter. For example, "c=local author d"

In the Web Catalog:

1. Connect to the Web version of the Catalog
2. From the Catalog home page, select Search the Library Catalog. If you are already at the Search screen, go to step 3.
3. In the search box, type: cn local author?
4. Press the Enter button or select the Search button.

You will get a list of local authors arranged by last names, beginning with "A." To display the list starting with a particular letter, type "cn local author" followed by a space, the letter and a ?. For example, "cn local author d?"
