National Screening of 1984

On April 4, 2017, independent movie theaters in over 80 cities across 35 states will be screening 1984 (dir. Michael Radford, 1984), the film based on George Orwell's best-selling novel. In solidarity with these theaters in their stand for free speech, respect for human rights, and promulgation of factual news, the Scotts Valley Library will be participating in this nation-wide screening and community conversation. Come and watch, talk, and learn about this chillingly-relevant story of a man escaping from an overwhelmingly oppressive regime. This film is rated R.

Tuesday • April 4th
Scotts Valley Library
251 Kings Village Rd. SV
5:00pm - 7:00pm
