Look, Learn, Lend A Hand
Did you know that the Santa Cruz Public Libraries helps you learn about local plants and animals that are endangered or threatened? Find the Endangered Species page under Local Information> Endangered Species.
Consider making a difference by joining the upcoming Willow Creek Habitat Restoration, hosted by the Watershed Stewards Project and the the Resource Conservation District. Help restore critical habitat for the Long-toed Salamander on this interpretive walk to a section of the Aptos watershed normally closed to the public.
Williow Creek Habitat Restoration
January 25th • 9am - 1pm
Meet at Rio Del Mar Elementary
Plant native species, build exclusion fencing, remove invasive species, and learn about the watershed! All ages welcome! Snacks and drinks provided. Bring gloves (if you have them), wear long sleeves, and covered shoes. RAIN CANCELS EVENT.
