This Tuesday the 25th, a seasoned panel of SCORE mentors will share their hard won lessons learned from owning their own businesses.

A quiz on entrepreneurial personality profile and proven success factors as well as Q&A to follow. Bring all your questions and come early. This is a great opportunity to get a counselor/mentor.

The SCPL sheet music collection is housed at the Downtown Branch Library Reference Department. This collection is available for reference use and for viewing and/or copying.

Drought Information from the City of Santa Cruz

Due to exceptionally dry conditions, the Governor has declared a state-wide drought emergency and called on all citizens to cut back their water use by 20% in 2014. Stay informed about the 2014 Drought and learn ways you can save water.

The City of Santa Cruz Drought Information Page has information, links, and resources to help. Current drought conditions, conservation techniques, and local plans are all available from the City’s one-stop location for drought information.

SCPL Systems Unavailable Monday

The SCPL website and catalog will be unavailable on Monday, February 17th during the President’s Day closure. SCPL online catalog and My Account functions will be affected as well as access to SCPL electronic and downloadable resources. This includes access to Overdrive, 3M, OneClickDigital and all of our databases. Please get your downloadables before Monday!

All branches will also be closed, in observance of the President's Day holiday.

Full access will resume on Tuesday, February 18th. Thanks for your patience while we do important maintenance on the library infrastructure.

Celebrate love and Presidents’ Day with Willing Suspension Armchair Theater’s new production The Tye More Binding: Letters of John and Abigail Adams. Susan Sturn and Jerry Falek portray this President and First Lady who exchanged over 1100 elegantly-crafted letters filled with love, intellectual discussions, and arguments on government and politics, providing a document of one of the nation’s most remarkable love relationships as well as a window into early American history.
