You Can Do That @ the Library?!
Share Your Story
Join a community project, "We Have Stories To Tell" which unites children with family members, senior citizens and library staff to encourage the development of literacy skills through story telling. Children have the opportunity to make their own books in which they portray the story they are telling with illustrations of their own design.

Author talk on Faith and Theology in Crime Fiction
Join us Tuesday May 14th, 7pm at the Downtown Branch for the third installment of the King Lecture series. This year's Lecture also incorporates the interests of his wife, crime writer Laurie R. King, in conversation with three other award-winning crime writers:
- Zoe Ferraris -- Finding Nouf, City of Veils
- Sharan Newman -- The Outcast Dove, Strong as Death
- Julia Spencer-Fleming -- In the Bleak Midwinter, Out of the Deep I Cry
Higher Mysteries: Faith and Theology in Crime Fiction is sponsored by UCSC's Noel Q. King Memorial and the Santa Cruz Public Libraries. Books will be sold at the free event by Bookshop Santa Cruz, and refreshments served thanks to the Friends of the Library.
The King Lecture series, preserving the work of UCSC History and Comparative Religion professor Noel Q. King, promotes and explores the dialogue between faiths. For more information please contact email@example.com
