Summer Reading Events - June 23 - 29
The entry form deadline for the Teen Battle of the Bands is this week, on Saturday June 28th. If you or someone you know has a band and is between the ages of 12 and 19, sign up today for this fun event.
We have all kinds of fun stuff for all ages happening this week. Check out some of the following!
The San Lorenzo Valley Community Band will be at the Boulder Creek Branch amphitheater on Sunday the 23rd from 5 - 6pm. This enthusiastic volunteer band was formed to encourage, promote and support instrumental music in the San Lorenzo Valley Unified School District.
Don't miss the Surfing Magician! He'll be performing at the Live Oak Branch on Monday the 24th at 10:30am, and at the Capitola Branch on Friday the 28th also at 10:30am.
The Food for Thought Film Festival continues this week at the Downtown Branch, with two showings:
Food Inc. @ 7pm on Tuesday
Forks over Knives @ 3pm on Saturday
For those of you that registered last week, don't forget that part 2 of the Teen Tech Tasters' Make Movies workshop is happening on Wednesday at 3pm.
Busy Bee Dogs are formerly homeless pets who amaze and educate audiences of all ages through heart-capturing extraordinary entertainment. They'll be performing on Saturday the 29th; find them at the Boulder Creek Branch @ 11am and the Scotts Valley Branch @ 2pm.
