Books on Parade

SCPL News

We're starting December off with a bang! We've got not one but two great booksales going on Saturday December 1st. The Friends of the Santa Cruz Public Libraries Holiday Booksale will be happening at the Downtown Branch from 11am to 3pm, and The Scotts Valley Friends of the Library Booksale will at the Scotts Valley Branch in the Fireside room from 10am to 4pm. Both sales will showcase a great selection of books, perfect for gift-giving. The Downtown sale will also feature a craft table, where recycled books can be turned into paper wreaths, cards, paper snowflakes, and more.

And if that weren't enough excitement, Saturday is also the Downtown Santa Cruz Holiday Parade. The Santa Cruz Public Library Precision Book Cart Drill Team will be performing alongside floats, marching bands, fire trucks, horses, and classic cars. The fun starts at 10am on Pacific Avenue and lasts until noon. Enjoy the parade, and you'll still have plenty of time to walk over to the Downtown Branch before the Booksale ends!
