Playaways are small audiobook players that you can check out! Each Playaway device comes with one complete book already pre-loaded on it. Simply insert a AAA battery, plug in earbuds (available for purchase at the Friends' store if you need them) and enjoy your book.

Search our catalog for "playaways" to view a complete list--and to request a title. You can also watch our New Items page to see titles as they are added to the collection.

We may have a job for you! The Aptos Branch has an immediate need for the following:

• Bibliographic Assistant
• Circulation Assistant
• Grounds Maintenance Assistant
• Computer Cleaning Assistant

The Live Oak Branch has an immediate need for:

• Self-Check Assistants

The Central Branch has an immediate need for:

• Shelf Maintenance Assistants
• Youth Services Assistants

We are also looking for volunteers to help with a rebarcoding project.

Architectural drawings are now available for viewing. These renderings, created by Group 4 Architects, can be viewed at the Scotts Valley Chapter of the Friends of the Library website. Take a look at what the new Scotts Valley Branch will look like!
