You Can Do That @ the Library?!
Share Your Story
Join a community project, "We Have Stories To Tell" which unites children with family members, senior citizens and library staff to encourage the development of literacy skills through story telling. Children have the opportunity to make their own books in which they portray the story they are telling with illustrations of their own design.

Overdue Fines Increasing April 6
Effective April 6, 2009, overdue fines will increase to 50 cents per day per item
This is the first increase in overdue fines in 15 years. The library has had to make cuts to its book and media budget, and this increase will help offset our falling revenues. It is also hoped that the fine increase will encourage library users to return materials on time, decreasing the time other borrowers must wait for late items they wish to read or view.
Don't get caught by the higher late fines. The fines can be avoided by renewing items (if there is not a request on the title), in one of three easy ways:
- Renewing items in person at your nearest branch
- Renewing items online through your library account
- Renewing items by phone: 420-5775
Library staff at all branches will be glad to explain how to use any of these options.
Returning items on time really does mean a shorter wait for other readers waiting for requested titles to be returned.
