Lead Organizer
Los Angeles
Change to Win is seeking a Lead Organizer to help lead campaigns that challenge America’s largest corporations to take responsibility for how their business practices impact working families and their communities. Organizers work in a team environment with Change to Win staff to help workers, community members, and leaders build power and support these campaigns. The Lead Organizer oversees organizing staff and plays an important role in coordinating campaign activities in Los Angeles.
Change to Win is a dynamic coalition of North America’s most progressive labor unions and a leading force for social, racial and economic justice in our country today.
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise and develop staff
- Lead staff by example, setting high standards in work ethic and professional approach
- Participate in staff recruitment and training programs
- Organize public actions in support of campaign goals
- Motivate workers and outside supporters to take action
- Coordinate with campaign staff to assist in information gathering programs
- Maintain information management systems
- Identify and develop leaders
- Assist in the development of message and communication deliverables
Job Qualifications
- Demonstrated organizing experience
- Strong leadership skills
- Exceptional energy and motivation to do the work
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Good writing skills
- Willingness to travel and work long hours, including weekends
- Drivers license required
