
NATCA Labor Relations Attorney

The National Air Traffic Controllers Association, AFL-CIO ("NATCA") has an immediate opening for an attorney to work in the Labor Relations Department.
• Responsibilities:
The position is responsible for assisting the Director of Labor Relations with the following:
• Representing the organization in arbitration hearings and administrative proceedings.
• Representing the organization in midterm and term negotiations with the FAA and private sector employers.
• Providing verbal and written guidance to NATCA's National Executive Board, union representatives and general membership concerning strategies for enforcing NATCA collective bargaining agreements, Federal Service Labor-Management Relations Statute, the National Labor Relations Act, and other state and federal laws.
• Providing guidance and strategies in internal and external organizing campaigns in both federal and private sectors.
Qualifications: Applicants should have a minimum of 4 years of relevant post-law school experience and be able to demonstrate their commitment to labor. Applicants should also possess the following characteristics: extremely well organized; excellent legal research and writing skills; capable of handling multiple, complex assignments with minimal supervision; superb "people" skills; and the ability to meet tight deadlines. Admission to the District of Columbia bar is preferred and, if not already obtained, will be required within a reasonable amount of time from the date of hire.
