SCPL has subscribed to a fun, new reading program that you can access from the library or home (requires a library card and PIN)! Scholastic BookFlix pairs classic video storybooks from Weston Woods with related nonfiction eBooks from Scholastic to build a love of reading and learning. Food Storytimes at Whole Foods in Capitola

KidReach (Youth Services Outreach) is partnering with Whole Foods Market in Capitola to bring storytimes to the community. Storytimes all have a food theme. We started in January with a pizza storytime and pizza snacks from the Whole Foods Pizzeria. February was stories about Chinese food in honor of the Lunar New Year. The next storytime is on Thursday, March 25 at 10 AM. Come celebrate Ireland, hear stories about potatoes, and see and sample the many varieties of potatoes and potato foods. [Read more]

A child of ANY age can now have a little blue card to check out books, movies, and recorded stories….yes, even toddlers!
