Pokemon in the Library
Santa Cruz Library user, Trebor, 11 years old, has been collecting Pokemon figures since 2005. He has agreed to put 120 pieces from his collection on display at some of our libraries this year. You can see Trebor's collection at one of these branches:

Recycling Wizard Comes to the Library
Brent Gifford...The Great Blindini...and his Wonder Dog, Yankee are bringing their special magic to the Library this summer.
Brent and Yankee are DONATING several magic shows to the community so you can learn some simple magic tricks that you can do right away using recycled and reclaimed materials. ALL ages are welcome and it's FREE! There are 5 magic shows in June.

Sign Up for Summer Reading!
Sing a song....draw a picture....leap and dance....and read a book! Summer reading has returned to the Santa Cruz Public Libraries. From Monday June 8 through Thursday July 30, you can earn summer reading dollars for every hour that you read or listen to books. This is a program for toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged kids.

Summer Reading Program for Kids
All kids can participate by reading on their own or listening to someone else.
RECORD YOUR READING TIME ON YOUR READING LOG
Print out a temporary page until you go to your library branch to pick up a YELLOW reading log. Earn a Summer Reading Dollar by reading for 1 hour...you can earn up to 20. Fill in the circles to keep track of the time you spend reading.
Library staff will give one SUMMER READING DOLLAR for each circle that is completely filled.

KIDS BOOKSALE WEEKEND AUGUST 1 & 2, 1-4pm
Come to the Central Branch Meeting Room to find great books for the rest of the summer and fall.
BRING YOUR READING LOG for admission on Saturday, August 1.
