JACK PICKFORD LEAVES

Lasky Company Spends Nearly Three Weeks Here

Jack Pickford, Miss Huff and the Lasky company of about twenty players, after nearly three weeks in Santa Cruz, left Casa del Rey last night for Los Angeles. These stars have been putting on "Freckles" and the last three days were spent at the San Vicente logging camp, the company making Gregory Heights their stopping place. They arrived at Casa del Rey from Gregory Heights last night at 7:30 o'clock and after dinner left by auto at 9:30 in three cars for Watsonville Junction to meet the Lark and board their special car. D. L. Blanchard, the business manager, remained over for the day to settle affairs.

This company during their stay have been working at the Hollenback place, Hard Scrabble Ranch on Boulder Creek, putting on swamp scenes; also on Jamison Creek, the Big Basin country and San Vicente logging camp. The people of this vicinity are anxiously awaiting the release of this play.
